David began his career with the US Army in 1984 in Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Warfare. He later attended ROTC and was commissioned in 1988 as an all-source Intelligence Officer while attending the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He gave up being a trial lawyer to return to the country’s service. He was the Senior Intelligence Advisor to Iraqi Ground Forces Command in Baghdad. He served Army Space and Missile Defense Command as the Chief of Counterintelligence, Executive Officer to the Commanding General, and Chief of Technical Intelligence. Before retiring from the Army as a Lieutenant Colonel in early 2017, he served as the Deputy Commander of 2d US Army Recruiting Brigade when it became the first Army Recruiting Command unit in five years to achieve its annual recruiting mission.

David served the nation in the capital region with the US Department of State, Office of the Director of National Intelligence, and National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.
